Class project resources for the Pochetnensky UVK school community. This page is a reference for students, parents and teachers working on class projects and community activities.
Class project structure
A class project page that supports students has:
- The project brief - what is being made or investigated.
- The source list - where to find relevant information.
- The deliverable - what the student submits.
- The criteria - what a good deliverable looks like.
- The timeline - the key dates and intermediate steps.
The criteria are the most valuable item and the one most often omitted. A student who does not know what a good deliverable looks like has to guess. A student who can read the criteria before starting can plan the work.
For parents
Your role in a class project is support, not completion. The most useful thing you can do is ask questions that help your child think: "what do you think the project is asking you to show?" and "what do you still need to find out?" are more useful than helping write the answer.
If the project requirements are unclear, contact the teacher directly. Do not try to infer the requirements from the deliverable alone.
Community activities
The school community calendar, after-school activities and local events are noted separately on the community section of this page. Contact the school coordinator for additions or corrections.
